WebRTC use cases extend beyond contact center

WebRTC is here, now and for the future, says Tsahi Levent-Levi, a WebRTC consultant and event speaker at Enterprise Connect 2015. WebRTC use cases are expanding, he says, beyond contact centers and into the healthcare field via doctor visits, for example.

Levent-Levi, a blogger, contends that WebRTC downgrades unified communications and voice and video communications from a service that we use to consume to a feature that gets embedded into another service. He advises vendors not to ignore WebRTC. And he anticipates smaller vendors, who offer capabilities for others to build their solutions on top of them, could be acquired this year.
