Vendors showcase latest UC offerings at Enterprise Connect 2019

The Enterprise Connect 2019 expo floor will feature more than 140 vendors with their latest offerings in the UC space, including team collaboration tools and digital whiteboard technology.

The latest in unified communications and collaboration will be on display at Enterprise Connect 2019, as more than 140 vendors will showcase their products on the expo floor. Vendors will show off their latest innovations, including communications platforms, video collaboration services and contact center technology.

The following is a preview of a few of the product announcements that will be on the Enterprise Connect 2019 exhibition floor.

8x8 Inc. will introduce at the conference its contact center integration with Google Cloud's Contact Center AI. The integration with Google's Contact Center AI adds real-time customer experience analytics, reporting and a predictive dialer. The integration will also feature 8x8's virtual agent capability.

Using a combination of the two vendors' AI technology, the virtual agent can answer simple and routine customer calls without the help of a live agent. The virtual assistant can also hand calls off to live agents. Additionally, an agent assist feature provides agents with information, such as articles and knowledge documents, and it can reduce call times and improve customer experience.

CounterPath will exhibit Bria Teams Pro, the newest edition to its Bria Teams collaboration offerings for small and midsize businesses. The cloud-based service has added a dedicated HD virtual meeting room for individual users to eliminate the need to book a meeting space in advance or risk overlapping sessions.

The collaboration platform provides HD video and audio for up to 200 participants in a meeting. CounterPath has also added chat rooms to both Bria Teams and Bria Teams Pro, which can track conversation history across multiple devices.

Dolby will exhibit its Dolby Voice Room at the convention. The conference room technology adapts to people and environments by adjusting to lighting, acoustics, motion and voices in different rooms to create a more natural meeting experience.

The meeting room offering is equipped with a 4K wide-angle camera, phone and video conferencing appliance, and it includes remote device management that gives more control to IT. The Dolby Voice Room is currently available through its partnerships with BlueJeans and Highfive. The vendor will announce new partnerships and platform integrations at Enterprise Connect.

Kaptivo will introduce new features to its digital whiteboard technology, which turns any whiteboard into a digital whiteboard. The Kaptivo hardware connects to analog whiteboards and allows users to stream, share and archive whiteboard content in real time.

The digital whiteboard hardware's features include KaptivoCast, which allows for integration with video conferencing systems, and WebApp 3.0, which integrates with third-party apps like Microsoft Teams and Slack. Kaptivo also allows management of multiple Kaptivo devices through a centralized dashboard.

Mio will showcase its team messaging federation service, which was nominated for Best of Enterprise Connect 2019. The service synchronizes popular messaging apps, such as Webex Teams, Slack and Microsoft Teams, to enable cross-platform messaging. Users can send messages from their app of choice, and conversations can coexist across channels.

Mio can also synchronize other features provided by team chat apps, including video, file uploads, emoji reactions, threaded messages, mentions and message editing. The service also supports cross-platform calling for Slack and Webex Teams by using a calling API to provide a common Session Initiation Protocol address.
