Unify Circuit: UC as a service product overview

The Unify Circuit platform provides a single cloud-based service that addresses organizations' cross-platform team collaboration and communication needs.

Editor's note: This Unify Circuit product overview is part of a series on unified communications as a service, or UCaaS. Part one examined the evolution of UC in the cloud, and part two discussed the business case for UCaaS. Part three detailed the purchasing criteria and key features to consider, and part four compared the top vendors in the market.

Unify Circuit is a comprehensive UCaaS platform that aims to help enterprises collaborate and communicate efficiently. Circuit, based on a single application, enables users to perform a range of functions, including making or receiving phone calls, sending instant messages to colleagues, viewing other users' presence status, sending files, and conducting voice and video conferences.

Circuit's interface is consistent across multiple platforms, such as Windows, Mac, iPhone, iPad, Android tablets and smartphones, which helps users switch platforms, but remain productive.

Package options and features address enterprises of all sizes

The Unify Circuit platform offers four packages: Free, Team, Professional and Enterprise.

Organizations seeking a try-and-buy service can download the Free package, which supports up to 100 users, a maximum of three users per conference call and provides 1 GB of cloud storage. No service-level agreement (SLA) is available with this package.

Priced at $3.95 per user, per month, the Team package is designed for small teams that need a simple application to drive efficient collaboration. This plan allows up to six users per conference call, and it provides 5 GB of storage space and SLA support. Although this plan supports an unlimited number of users, it does not provide voice connectivity to the outside world.

The Professional package is for organizations that require voice connectivity to the rest of the world. Priced at $6.95 per user, per month, it provides everything in the Team package, plus 10 GB of storage, conversation moderation, recording capabilities, telephony connector, an SLA and help desk support. Again, there's no limit to the number of users.

The Enterprise package includes everything in the Professional package, plus 20 GB of storage space, an SLA and help desk support, and no limitation to the number of users. Priced at $14.95 per user, per month, the only difference between this package and the Professional plan is the additional 10 GB of storage space.

All Unify Circuit packages include voice and video calling; chat; desktop sharing; private conversations, with the ability to invite others; guest access; meeting scheduling; Outlook calendar plug-in; Exchange contact plug-in; and support for iOS and Android mobile apps.

All Circuit information and traffic is encrypted with multiple layers of security. Unify also deploys a security management framework according to ISO 27001.
