What certifications should a traditional PBX system administrator acquire for the inevitable leap to VoIP? Many of the current system administrators do not have a network background.
I would suggest looking at the vendors whose equipment you use. There are going to be subtle differences between products, but your vendor can recommend the proper course. It may also be beneficial to get some basic network training to help understand how it works.
