How can we run D-link DPH-140S phones on Cisco CallManager Express?

I help run a Cisco network. Normally we use Cisco series IP phones 7912, 7940 etc. But we are trying to put a D-link DPH-140S phone onto the network. It is currently not working. We can get the phone to register and get a dial tone when we pick up the receiver, but it is not recognizing the phone number when we dial out or when we try to call the phone. Are there any configurations that we need to add to the CallManager Express to get these phones to work? Or is it even possible to get a D-link phone to work on a Cisco network?

It may or may not ever work. First, check your port mappings and see what your NAT settings are. You may have problems if they are both on the same NAT segment.

You may need to set up a static mapping for the phone. Check your security settings as well to be sure that you have allowed access.

You also need to check and see what ports are being used on both sides. If the port numbers do not match than the communication will not work either.

Also check your proxy services. Take a look at Cisco's SIP commands.
