Calculating estimated resource consumption for calls on a Veraz Internet controller

I'm trying to calculate the estimated resource consumption of a blend of calls using SIP and H.323, and using G.711 and G.729.

I'm trying to calculate the estimated resource consumption of a blend of calls using SIP and H.323, and using G.711 and G.729. This is for capacity planning purposes on a Veraz Internet controller.

I've found rough estimations for average bandwidth consumption of the signaling layer, but I can't find an average consumption of the Real-Time Transport Protocol (RTP) using the different codecs. Do you know if average resource consumption estimates exist for this specific situation?

There is no difference in the RTP stream whether you are using SIP or H.323 to set up the call. On an Ethernet network you can estimate about 87 Kbps for G.711 and 24 Kbps for G.729 (includes overhead of Ethernet and IP).
