National Call Fee Access

DEFINITION - In the U.K., National Call Fee Access (NCFA) is a Number Translation Service (NTS) that enables a caller that calls a non-geographic telephone number beginning with 0870 or 0871 to be charged what is known as the national call rate. In some NCFA arrangements, part of the amount charged the caller goes to the holder of the NCFA telephone number (the other part goes to the service provider or phone company). This allows a charitable organization to obtain an NCFA telephone number free and then derive income from callers as part of the calling charge.
