The award winners were selected by IT and communications professionals themselves, based on their assessments of the products they currently deploy.
The editors at SearchUnifiedCommunications.com used a survey-based system to discover what products and services readers are using and how they feel about them. The questions asked depended on the specific product and its important functions. The editors compiled the results to come up with the best products and services that are helping businesses maximize communications and improve productivity.
More than 300 readers were polled to produce results. Respondents were asked to select the product and services they currently use in four major UC categories and to evaluate them according to product-specific criteria. Each criterion was assigned a value and cumulative scores were calculated for each. SearchUnifiedCommunications.com editors used these scores to award gold, silver and bronze medals to the industry's best UC products and services.
