Enterprise Connect 2018 to showcase latest UC innovations

The latest UC products will be on display at this year's Enterprise Connect, including mobile unified communications platforms and team collaboration workspaces.

The latest in unified communications, collaboration and contact center services will be on display at Enterprise Connect 2018. This year, more than 120 vendors will exhibit their latest innovations at the industry expo, including mobile unified communications as a service, team collaboration apps and video conferencing platforms. The following is just a sampling of the product announcements coming out of Enterprise Connect 2018:

CaféX will exhibit its omnichannel contact center platform, Live Assist for Microsoft Dynamics 365, which offers co-browsing, chat and video capabilities. The latest release of the platform includes chatbots using the Microsoft Bot Framework, which allows customers to escalate from chatbots to live agents.

CaféX's developer toolkit for Android and iOS devices allows organizations to add live-assistance features into mobile applications. Customers can connect with Live Assist chatbots and agents on their preferred mobile device, and agents have access to capabilities such as co-navigation and annotations.

IBM will introduce the newest version of its team collaboration tool, Watson Workspace, which offers persistent messaging, file sharing and storage, and open APIs for application integrations. The latest version, Watson Workspace Plus, will introduce Zoom video meetings within workspaces.

The team collaboration tool also uses IBM Watson's cognitive computing capabilities for features such as creating action items in a chat or creating summaries for the most relevant content in a workspace.

Mavenir will showcase at Enterprise Connect 2018 its new, mobile-native unified-communications-as-a-service (UCaaS) platform for home offices and SMBs. The platform is delivered from Mavenir's global cloud platform and uses existing mobile network operator assets like voice over LTE and Rich Communications Services.

The mobile UCaaS platform offers capabilities such as enterprise voice and video and document sharing, and it allows users to send messages with their business number.

Pexip will introduce at Enterprise Connect 2018 its latest video conferencing interoperability service for Microsoft Teams. The interoperability service will allow video conferencing users to participate in Teams meetings and build on Pexip's Microsoft-certified interoperability application.

Pexip will also debut new software clients for desktop and mobile users, and it will preview the upcoming release of its latest Infinity meeting platform.

Perficient will showcase its capabilities with the Amazon Connect cloud-based contact center, which is part of the Amazon Web Services platform.

Perficient is an Amazon partner. Its offerings on Amazon Connect include user adoption management and the integration of third-party products, such as customer relationship management and enterprise resource planning.
