This is certainly a loaded question! There are several factors that could effect this answer. Are you using point to point circuits? Will you need VPN capabilities. Which portion of your users will be remote and using softphones over traditional internet circuits. Whose equipment are you using and will the voice network be on a separate VLAN from the regular network? What is the operating system that your voice will be running over? Will you provide some type of MAC address validation? In short, you will need to make sure that the network is as secure as your data network via whatever mechanisms you currently have evaluated and intend to use.
