I am new to VoIP and am currently starting a VoIP project. I would like to know more about the software programming in VoIP. How should I start? Is there an example tutorial/source code that I can refer to? I am still struggling with how to start this project on the software end. I hope you can provide some guidelines.

This depends on what your 'VoIP project' is. If you just want some VoIP code examples you can go to http://www.asterisk.org/ and download their source code for an IP PBX. You can also go to http://www.iptel.org/ser/ and download source code for various applications.
