How do I set up a DHCP server and deploy IP numbers to networked machines?

You will add Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) services to either your W2000 machine or you can have your routers assign them. You select the range of addresses that you want to assign and the lease period for them. Then, on the workstation, you enable DHCP -- in network properties, select: obtain an address automatically. That is it.
