A training center can be set up on a LAN with a single server. You would not need different domains. For instance, you could run a product like Novell's ZenWorks and, depending on their login and permissions, they will only see what you want them to see. That includes applications, network resources, etc. You can even take away access to the floppy drive and Internet downloads easing administration headaches. I have used that product in a lab environment and it works very well. You assign a policy and anyone that uses that policy will have access only to what you direct. If you want a user only to see a login screen and one icon, you can do that.
