Can I test MGCP loopback capabilities without buying the equipment?

I'm researching ways to test MGCP and Real-Time Control Protocol (RTCP) in my VoIP network environment and do not see many options without spending a lot of money to buy simulators and such equipment.

I'd like to be able to test MGCP loopback capabilities and RTCP on/off with SSRC. Do you have any suggestions?

I would suggest checking with some test rental equipment houses. You could possibly start with an Internet search for "loopback test equipment" or talk to one of your equipment vendors about rentals. This will allow you to do some testing without buying the gear. You can usually rent it for a week or so.
